Just saw it on jw.org. Both Jan 15, 2012 Kool-Aid and Super-Dumb-Kool-Aid now have a techy-kinda bloggish feel... IMO...
No time to look into contents now, but at a first glance seems the artwork is scarce...whaddayathink?

have been a member of jwr since 2008 and have not been to hall since june 2009, have celebrated 2 yrs without memorial - woohoo - that being said i have stopped by here frequently and decided yesterday to join your group.. it has been very enjoyable to read your stories as well as the other group i have been with, and so it just seemed reasonable to belong to both.. my story is no differant than all the others, the only thing is i was not born in.
that being said i also have no real issues with being an apostate (although i do believe it is used in the perjorative sense by the wt).. peace - brad.
Yo, welcome!
i'll keep this brief for now.. long time lurker (4 years or so).. born-in, elder, used on district level (last talk i gave before i left was the baptisimal talk), and lots of hard time put in...before i finally made the move to split.
it's a long stoy, much like many of yours...but with it's own little interesting twists.
more details in the future, perhaps.. as i said, ive lurked here for a while.. its funny: for a long time i'd only come on late at night.
Welcome! May your unfolding (on this board) story be an inspiration for other lurkers out there.
Pop open a cold one, grab a seat and feel like home. We are a good family.

i never found statistics on the amount of paper the wtbts wastes, but i think they're might be a little hypocritical by parading the "he will bring to ruin those ruining the earth" verse that they always quote.
it got me curious and i decided to crunch some numbers.... they print 42 million washtowels a month, more than any other magazine in the world (http://download.jw.org/files/media_magazines/wp_e_20110501.pdf).
Hm, you on the money, bro...
...problem is, they are on the money too.
It is a business and the minute it does not make financial sense, there will be an "adjustment".
This is in no way to say that the paper waste is not tremendous, so is with printed catalogs in circulation. I am yet to see, however, Macy's catalog spewing hatred towards, say, JCPenney customers.....
are you a member of the homosexual community?
) can you say that you have honestly found satisfaction and fulfillment in that way of life?
(being true to myself has brought me great happiness yes.
Right, that "choice" thingy thrown around is funny....I wish I could ask the (anonymous) authors of this article when did they CHOOSE to be straight?
Did they sit down one day with a pad of paper and pencil and listed all the pros and cons of each lifestyle and then made a CHOISE?
Did they maybe TRY it both ways and the heterosexual experience and way of life ended up being what they really liked?
A bunch of bozos that have absolutely no training in human psychology, physiology or any scientific knowledge to that matter telling me how to live my life....why don't you GTFOOH
@Palmtree67 - Yep.
A ficticious mischevious character from a children's novel...Country of novel origin gives me away..
ok, i've reviewed the current labels for the active jw people we all know or may not know.... i like borg, that's the funniest one i've heard yet for the wt society as a collective whole.
as individuals i believe you call them soashes?
kind of like the outsiders?
If you were going with corrugated plastic on utility poles, this is a good helper, I've heard...
Quick to mount and definitely needing some tools to dismoint..
i'm not sure how many of you are interested in this or how many of you have been following it, but i have been right from when i first heard about it a few years ago.. they were each sentenced 25 years and 26 years for the murder of british student meredith mercher, but after a dramatic appeal, today, they have had their sentences overturned and have been given an immediate release, because the evidence suggesting that they were guilty was not strong enough to support that verdict.. i always thought them both to be innocent, and this is true justice for the poor girl and guy after being locked up for 4 years for somehting they did not commit, however, it does still leave an unsolved riddle.... who killed meredith mercher if not these two?.
the strange thing is, amanda knox apparently originally claimed she heard screams from meredith and hid in a different room in the house whilst it happened, but that stroy had changed to "i was never there" which is what i think too, given the facts.. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/3850483/amanda-knox-is-not-guilty-of-killing-meredith-kercher.html.
what are your thoughts?.
JT, excellent post!
our readers ask: will the earth survive 2012?.
page 10: "when will this occur?
no human knows.
SD-7, I don't want to hijack your thread; but somewhere around the quotes discussed here, another gem jumps out at ya:
Pg 17. bottom: "....In other cases, “friends” may ridicule the good news presented in God’s Word. (2 Peter 3:3, 4) Some may ridicule your efforts to do what is right. (1 Peter 4:4) If that happens to you, you may have to choose between being their friend and being God’s friend." (emphasis mine).
Ever since becoming aware of the many logical fallacies in the JW literature (and the false dichotomy in the quote above), it irritates me to no end to see those thrown so deliberately, yet casually in your face!!!
Really!?! Choose between being their friend and God's friend. No offense to God but maybe, just maybe I DON'T FEEL LIKE being either of yous (not a typo, that's plural for "you", Jersey style) friend right now.
Sheesh...
